Looking vs Lusting: A Podcast Interview with Covenant Eyes

How can we establish a commitment to sexual purity that will survive a trip to the mall? It’s one thing to create boundaries for ourselves to stay away from pornography and provocative TV and movies, but how can we live in a world populated with attractive people and not go crazy?

By getting clear about the difference between looking and lusting.

Last week I was interviewed by the good folks at Covenant Eyes (the best accountability software out there today). They have a blog and a podcast, and Luke Gilkerson interviewed me about this important topic. Many Christians struggle to understand and apply Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5 which states that if a man looks at woman lustfully, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart. What does this mean? Take a listen, and tell us in the comments what you think.

  • I like the new site and BLOG look! Thanks for all your doing!

  • These were three great ways to determine what it means to lust. I’m going to share this podcast and notes with my Pure Desire Sexual Addiction Recovery Group. Thanks and it’s great to see a fellow Minnesotan in the fight.
