Teleseminar: Interview with Dr. Jenell Paris

Back by popular demand! We are starting up teleseminars again as part of the Recovery Journey program. This time around, we will focus the teleseminars on interviews with leading experts in the fields of addiction, recovery, sexuality, and marriage.

This month we are very excited to offer a teleseminar with one of today’s leading Christian anthropologists: Jenell Paris, PhD. Dr. Paris has been doing research on human sexuality, and has a book coming out in 2011 dealing with our understanding of same-sex attraction. “The End of Sexual Identity” is a call for a new, deeper way of thinking about labels like “gay” or “straight,” and helps Christians find better ways of understanding and dealing with same-sex attraction. Dr Paris also has some interesting insights about sexual addiction from an anthropological standpoint.

This will be a great teleseminar for anyone to participate in because this topic touches on an important issue in our time, and one that is often comes up in circles where people get honest about their sexual struggles. It will be especially helpful to people who’ve had questions or struggles with same-sex attraction, either because they deal with it themselves, or a spouse or family member does.
